📝 Devlog #1 – First Prototype Released

I’ve just released the first prototype of City Walker, a small 2D side-scrolling project built in Unity.
The main focus of this version was to explore player movement feel and create a visually cohesive neon city environment. I spent most of the time refining horizontal movement, implementing a dash mechanic, and building layered backgrounds to achieve a sense of depth.
One of the biggest things I learned during this process was how important “feel” is — small adjustments to movement and animation made a huge difference in how the game plays. I also got hands-on experience with sprite animation, parallax layering, and Unity’s URP lighting.
Next, I’m planning to expand the environment with more props and signage, improve visual polish (especially lighting and effects), and potentially introduce simple interactions.
This is an early prototype (v0.1), but I’m excited to keep building on it.
